Just Graduated? Build a Practical Next Step.

Career training guidance for Michigan graduates and the families supporting them.

You do not need every part of your future decided to begin learning a useful skill. Explore healthcare or construction, compare the real time commitment and understand the total cost before choosing a program.

Start with the work that interests you

Explore all DRM programs. Confirm admission age, prerequisites, schedule and practical requirements with admissions. Short training is a starting point; it does not guarantee certification or a job.

Could the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship help?

Eligible recent graduates may receive up to $2,000 per year for up to two years toward an eligible career training program. This is different from the college-focused Michigan Achievement Scholarship.

Michigan’s published eligibility includes:

  • Michigan residency for at least the immediately preceding year.
  • A high school diploma, certificate of completion or high school equivalency earned in 2023 or later.
  • No associate or bachelor’s degree and no prior credential earned with this scholarship.
  • Enrollment within 15 months of high school graduation.

The 15-month window matters. Graduating in 2023 or later alone does not establish current eligibility. Confirm your individual timing and the exact DRM program’s eligibility before enrolling.

For parents and supporters

Ask your student what kind of work they want to try. Compare the instruction, practical learning, included supplies, transportation and schedule—not just the advertised tuition. Ask which exam or licensing steps come after training and which costs are separate. Your questions are welcome.

Let’s make the next step clearer

Tell admissions your graduation month and year, program interest, preferred campus and whether you would like funding guidance. Do not email identity documents or financial records with an initial question.

Ask admissions about your options or email info@drmilc.com.
