Framing Your Future

The Residential Builder’s Pre-licensure Certificate Program will provide instruction to participants enabling them to learn about Business Management, Estimating, Design and Building Science, Contracts, Risk Management and Project Management. Participants will be introduced to Michigan Residential and Construction Safety Standards, as well as management, Marketing and Sales techniques.Construction Pre-License Course = 2weeks

Residential Builder’s Pre-licensure Certificate Program

The Drywall & Carpentry Certificate Program will prepare participants for reading measurements relevant to industry, read blueprints and understand calculations necessary for job completion. In addition will be introduced to carpentry, drywall, power tools, framing, leveling, energy conservations other techniques and safety procedures. Drywall & Carpentry Course = 2weeks

Drywall & Carpentry Certificate Program

Construction Combo (Pre-License Course + Drywall & Carpentry)

The Electrical Certificate Program will provide instruction to participants enabling them to learn about sound systems, robotics, and working with wires. Participants will gain knowledge of installing and maintaining electrical and power systems for homes, businesses, factories and a wide range of other businesses. Other class objectives include learning about various electrical systems, codes, controls and machines. Electrical Trade = 2weeks

 

The Plumbing Certificate Program will provide instruction to participants enabling them to learn designing and installation of piping systems that distribute water and remove waste from buildings, connecting to washers, sinks, heating, and cooling systems. Plumbers have to be knowledgeable in the water distribution, blueprint reading, local ordinances and regulations, mathematics, mechanical drawing, physics, welding, and soldering. Plumbing Trade = 2weeks

 

The Heating Ventilation Air Cooling (HVAC) Certificate Program will provide instruction to participants enabling them to learn about various components of HVAC including: motors, compressors, pumps, fan, thermostats, and computerized switches control systems in residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Participants will gain knowledge of specialized equipment, such as hydronics (water-based heating systems), solar panels, or commercial refrigeration. HVAC Trade = 2weeks
