JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, responsible for providing support to nursing staff and assisting in the delivery of patient care following patient care plan and hospital policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Specialized education requirements, for those not meeting minimum six-month nursing assistant experience include: acute care nursing assistant course preferred for acute care position
- Long term care nursing assistant course
- Completion of medical assistant program
- Completion of a clinical rotation while participating an accredited nursing program
- CPR or BLS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- State Certification as a C.N.A. for the State of Michigan
- Direct patient care experience
